Spanish cuisine is recognized world-wide and some of the most famous chefs come from this magic country. That being said, we want to show to our vegan followers, a few but good options of veggie-friendly restaurants so that future travelling vegans and vegetarians can travel with peace of mind, that they’ll find something great to eat... other than Jamon and chorizo.
Today, our recommendations if you are visiting Madrid are:
(Calle Lope de Vega, 7, Madrid, Spain 28014)
Rayén Vegano is a cafe/bakery that offers a relatively small menu, but the selection they prepare fresh whilst you wait is done well and with an attention to taste. With a nice selection of organic wines, artisan beers and traditional desserts, Reayen Vegano is a great option to have an amazing brunch to re-charge energy after going out "de marcha" in Madrid.
Loving Hut, Madrid
(Calle de los Reyes 11, Madrid, Spain 28015)
Friendly staff, fresh veggies and reasonable prices.. isn't that what we all look for? Loving Hut, Madrid is a perfect option. This welcoming restaurant offers daily menus and fair portions.
(Calle de la Ballesta 13, Madrid 28004)
B13 is a great place to enjoy the best vegan version of some traditional Spanish tapas. Pincho de tortilla, chorizo, tortilla de patata and pimientos del padron are some of the options you will find in this palace of tapas and delicious vegan junk food.
(Calle Ventura de la Vega, 4, Madrid, 28014)
Artemisa a well located restaurant in the heart of Madrid. And while there, take your chance to taste a Spanish paella. The veggie paella is actually on the menu at many non vegan restaurants but Artemisa also offers a great variety of vegan tapas on its menu.
